يتوجه خمسة أصدقاء في العشرينات من أعمارهم إلى كوخ بعيد بإحدى الغابات، حيث يكتشفوا (كتاب الموتى) هناك ويستدعوا من خلاله دون قصد الشياطين الموجودة بالغابة التي تحاول القضاء عليهم واحد تلو الآخر، وعلى من ينجو منهم أن يفلت من قبضتهم.
