If the main motive is to simply deceive the viewer/reader then this one achieve it exceedingly. Yet, this is not art. What you have is that you bring in reasonably talented players, directors, and so on, with enough financial backing, and yet compose a film with so much disingenuity that it only becomes a testimony to the tastelessness of the average European cinema. I watched the movie with this expectation to the end. Waiting for it to betray its premises, as most Euro movies do. Nevertheless, it artfully (!) abstained from doing so until the last minute. What happened in the last minute? Well, we all learned that what we taught was true was not! What a triumph for the writers! I felt relieved: I was wright this was Euro trash. Unfortunately, that cost me about two and a half hours!

I heard from Spanish friends that the original novel of this film is very famous and the subject matter is also very interesting. It did not disappoint me! It's really my cup of tea! I like the theme of this movie so much. It even contains some philosophical meanings. The hostess is also very beautiful, the acting skill is very good, and the director's design is also very careful! After watching the film, I also found the original novel specially. After reading it, I found that the director really respected the original work to a great extent, and some changes were also very clever, which added a lot of points!

Watched this movie with great anticipation and it didn't let me down, the closed scenes, the story of the mentally ill, the back-and-forth story lines were all fascinating. It's a movie worth watching, and you need to be patient, so you'll find a lot of interesting details that are worth mulling over. I am willing to give full marks to this film, in order to look forward to the director's next work. He and the director's two previous films have similar reflections. It is not just a simple suspense film, and there will be a lot of feelings after watching it. That's how a good movie should be, and I would highly recommend friends to see it.

I am a great fan of the director and he always brings amazing suspense thrillers with brilliant plot twists. His brilliancy is not bringing the cat out of the hat as a twist. But he shows the cat throughout without us noticing it. But when he pulls it out, we will be like ' oh how could we miss it" . But this movie was a big disappointment. A lady enters the mental institute as a patient by her intention is to investigate a murder in the hospital. Some scenes are not linear which I normally enjoys in a movie but here they were just to confuse people. When the movie ends, there are lots of questions unanswered. Not just because it was an open ending but because there were lots of plot holes. What a waste!

Another great movie by one of the top Spanish directors nowadays. As his other projects you get a fantastic dosis of suspense and will keep asking questions throught the film. A difficult book to adapt but the director manages to do it perfectly well. Really entertaining movie with quality. Eduard Fernández and Oriol Paulo are always a guarantee for movie lovers.. My advice is not to read a lot about the film. I also recommend checking the director's previous films. This has been the best year in Spanish cinema in a long time. Mistery, good acting and entertainment, enough for me. Turn on the tv and Enjoy...
