I have no idea how this film can get such a low overall review score. It is by far one of the best films I've seen in the past two decades. What makes it even more exciting is that director Evan Leong and his team started filming way before all the Linsanity hype. Jeremy Lin's story is not just about basketball, it illustrates determination, work ethic, and true resilience in realizing one's dreams. I would recommend this film to people of all ages. It's unfortunate that it is only playing at select theaters, however, I noticed that Amazon and some other sites have an online stream available for purchase - Even though I have seen the film at the Canadian Premiere screening, I am going to watch it again without a doubt. A great underdog story showcasing one of the greatest - yet most humble - players in the NBA. Keep on inspiring Jeremy Lin.

You will love Jeremy at the end of this, and be so happy for his 'dream come true' moment. One of the great sports documentaries, that deserves such a wider audience

I watched it with my brother and his wife (Who will be expecting their first baby next month). We are avid basketball fans, so we knew the story, but this gave us a better glimpse into who he is, rather than the media icon he has become. It was truly inspiring, and proof that heroes can come out of anywhere, even Harvard. I just wish there was more footage of NY Knicks fans screaming their heads off. It was a little different than your usual movie with big budgets, this was very low budget and looked that way. The home video scenes were nicely done. The interviews were interesting, but I wish they had more sides to the story, like interviewing opponents after Jeremy Lin had beaten them. Also wish they would interview more girls (Some of whom were absolutely gone crazy for Jeremy.)

The film chronicles Jeremy Lin's life and basketball career--from his childhood days playing ball through the end of the 2012 basketball season. To do this, Lin himself is interviewed as well as his friends, family and a variety of other sources. This documentary is about Lin--a journeyman NBA player who briefly was a HUGE sensation when he played for the New York Knicks. Despite his bouncing around to a few other teams since this incredible season back in 2012, the story is worth seeing for many reasons--particularly due to Lin's size and his humble pedigree. A 6'3" Asian-American who graduated from Harvard is NOT the sort of guy you'd expect to even play in the NBA--let alone spur on the fans like he did in the 2012 season. This is an enjoyable film overall. The only real negative is that Lin is still young and exactly where his career will go is a great unknown--and so when the film ends, there isn't exactly a sense of where he and his career are going next.

"I want to be like Mike...but I PRAY to be like Lin!" How often do you meet a sports figure whom you really, really like? One forged so solidly in his faith that you can gain inspiration from every phase of his life, not just the limelight? Fortunately for us, Lin's family had so much footage that it seems we saw this kid grow up next door to us. That's the mark of good parenting and good editing and directing on the part of Evan Jackson Leong. Lin's character hasn't changed, though his circumstances have been whirlwind. How inspirational for the world to see how someone from such a humble background can become propelled to the heights of international fame. The watchword: be ready. This may be a spoiler, both for the film and the game of life, but the good guy wins here, and it isn't a fluke. Lin won by hard work, persistence, and the grace of God. Lin stayed faithful. Let's hope (yes, and pray) that Lin and so many other athletes (and budding chemists, plumbers, and CPAs) will keep trying, believing, and teaching us the importance of walking by faith, not by sight. (That's in the Rulebook, 2 Corinthians 5:7) AfroPixFlix offers eight forks (and they're not pitchforks) for this one. See it. Share it. Talk it up, fans.

Jeremy Lin is Linsanity. He seemed to be this silent hero in America. His laid back character and nothingness seemed to contribute to our day and age. Within the film shots of this story, there seemed to be a story within a story. Was this movie about Jeremy Lin or was it about basketball or the American Dream or was this whole story about God? Was Jeremy Lin mentally ill or selfish? Was his euphoric state of zoning while he was winning on the basketball court nothing more than a hallucination in the waking sense and was he not only thinking about himself versus the whole team when he prayed to God and let God take over in what Jeremy Lin mentioned as an out of body experience. Is not God to help all team members and opponents and do we not live a life where selflessness versus selfishness is considered to be more holy? Jeremy Lin seemed to lose himself in a religious trance on the basketball court however was the game about Jeremy as an individual or as player in Gods Master Plan? If Jeremy Lin perceives himself merely a player in God's Master Plan for him, does that mean he is merely a puppet and God pulling the strings? Would it not be more human to combine God with self so that man has a say in his own unique narrative? An independent journey laced with divinity.

I watched it on Amazon. The movie has lots of insights. It kept me absorbed from the beginning to the end, even though I have watched some of the games before, as well as the highlights in media during Linsanity. The movie is at a different level, not just a collection of highlights. The most interesting part is the history, and that Lin was interviewed at low points of his life before Linsanity, as well as during Linsanity in his private life. So we had opportunity to see what was going on in his mind at those difficult times, and to see him behind bright media lights throughout the memorable events, and little things in his real life which showed his human side, and what a lovely person he is. What impressed me is also his family. What a loving family. Everyone of them showed honesty and grace. Above all, there is no doubt that his faith has been a guiding light for him in dealing with hardship, setback, success and fame. It is awesome!

It's a superb! This documentary is well organized, the story well told, and the theme well expressed. Lin is an evangelical Christian, and was a leader in Harvard's Asian American Christian Fellowship during his time there. He credited his NBA success to playing without pressure. "I've surrendered that to God. I'm not in a battle with what everybody else thinks anymore," said Lin. He hopes to become a pastor who can head up non- profit organizations, either home or abroad, and has talked of working in inner-city communities to help with underprivileged children.Lin is focused on ignoring those concerns. He said he's not even worried about the pressure that comes with being a man of faith. "It's a platform I've been given," Lin said. "I want to be real. I don't want to have a false image. I want people to see who I am and what God has done in my life. "If people don't like me or are waiting for me to fail, that's on them. I don't want to offend anybody. I don't want to be overbearing. But I've got to be who I am."
