Must watch. Superrb flawless continuity of a single character played by two actors. Unique innovative approach without compromising on the quality of the movie.

Good movie yet pained to see that my favourite actor is actually no more and this is his last film. A must watch for all Rishiji fans. The opening tribute by his son Rambhir Kapoor was emotionally moving. Love from Pakistan.

Sharmaji Namkeen review : Rishi Kapoor's swan song turns out to be a warm and touching tribute to the versatile actor who passed away in April 2020 leaving this film incomplete. Paresh Rawal then stepped in to shoot the remaining portions and thus, we get to see both Rishi and Paresh in the same role of Sharmaji - a retired private sector employee who finds solace in cooking and makes it his new profession, much to the chagrin of his two adult sons. Admittedly, it takes about ten minutes to get used to watching both the actors playing the same role but the screenplay is so breezy and sweet that you get used to it soon enough and then actually end up appreciating Paresh Rawal for gamely inbibing the nuances of the character left incomplete by Kapoor. It is a fantastic performance. The supporting cast, comprising Sheeba Chaddha, Ayesha Raza and Parmeet (Bittu) Sethi, are super competent. As for Rishi, he is absolute natural here and looks so cute and childlike in some scenes that you just wish to hug him. Sharmaji Namkeen is a perfect feel-good farewell to the fine actor who entertained us for five decades before leaving for his heavenly abode. His scenes with Juhi Chawla will certainly invoke the fond nostalgia of their Bol Radha Bol (1992) days. Do watch it. Sharmaji, tussi fun ho!! Regards, Sumeet Nadkarni.

Sameer lodaya The movie is tribute to rishiji as it was his last played character The script is very simple and soft and nicely played by rishiji and pareshji..the message was loud and clear that life never stops and no work is small hats off to the entire team which never gave up on the movie and kept alive Watch it for rishiji.

Watching someone for the last on the screen is always emotional just because of that I shall not consider as a good one. This is just a movie with few lines of humour, bunch of fresh face and few serious one. From any angle pareshwal sir's match with Rishi sir's paresh sir was good but in his good but the charm that Rishi sir has was off during paresh sir's time.you can actually say what they shoot previous and which one later...paresh sir was good but this movie has to be meant for Rishi sir and Director should focused on script else then anything....

Failed to Connect Emotionally!! The director forcefully tried to put emotions but unfortunately failed to connect with viewers. The role of older son character also didn't connect with the viewers ukhda ukhda sa . Rishi kapoor as same as before.

Credit to the late Mr. Rishi Kapoor in giving an all out effortless performance. In all the scenes that he is in, he takes it to a higher level. It would have been very difficult for Mr. Paresh Rawal to bring in the charisma of Rishiji but he has tried his best. As for the plot and overall storyline, I guess the makers got lost probably due to the sudden demise of Rishiji. What could have been an interesting movie on how age is not a factor when it comes to pursue one's passion and be happy gets relegated to how family members block all those things that do not meet societal norms and how the young generation is clueless on about their own future or decisions and only parents know best and only they can resolve any and all issues. The reference to Baghban in the initial sequence gives away what the audience should expect. If not for the acting from Rishiji and Paresh Rawal, the movie is neither sweet or salty.
