I personally still go to entertainment to get away from the heavy media and politics that are in too much of our lives today. It's nice when South Park or other shows make light of them and then turn it all goofy on end. I've never listened to Lizzo and have no interest to. Body Positivity movement is probably worse for our health than navigating our insurance system. Right when you think South Park is going to come down on the correct side and show the obviousness that it is our own responsibility, they change it up with the next absurdness that will probably just become the new norm. I haven't heard of anyone else comment on this yet, but the storyline analogies to parts of "Lost Boys" and "Mad Max" films were very enjoyable for me.

I loved this one and I don't get why others didn't. But comedy is perspective I guess. My favorite part was the opening theme. If you're a horror fan, you would recognize it as the same theme as Dawn of the Dead (which just passed its 20th anniversary). The tie between the cell mutation and mindless consumption, to a zombie like culture was perfection. The word play was good, the realistic and unbearable hoops, and struggles with the health insurance industry, the multiple layers of roasts thrown at Lizzo, the vanity and constant need for validation by the moms. I personally enjoyed the show from beginning to end. For the comments saying they didn't go far enough or the show isn't the same, I think that's a good thing. A show that does the same level of comedy on a constant basis will make the entirety of the show dull and predictable. Creativity is meant to change and flow in different directions. Some people just don't like change, and if you prefer the old episodes, then just put your device on loop and repeat the old episodes then. I remember when everyone who was mad about the opening theme to the series being updated. This was a fun, and entertaining special. Totally worth the watch. Don't go in with a negative attitude and high expectations. Just relax and enjoy the show for what it is... making fun of everyone and the popular trends.

I HOLLERED at the use of "It's my life!" in this special. No, not Bon Jovi. Remember Vennu Mallesh? Yep. THAT 'It's my life'. South Park ft. Vennu Mallesh is NOT what I had signed up for but boooooy, it was a surprise :D They have labs based out of Vishakapatnam, with signs saying 'Prayogshala' etc. (surprisingly written correctly 90% :O) in Hindi and.... Sanskrit..? XD Who comes up with the ridiculous stuff like this? LMAO. "Rich people get get Ozempic, poor people get body positivity." The commentary on the American Medical system was hilarious and sadly still prevalent. I don't know anything about Lizzo's music and don't know if the criticism of the music was justified, but someone got a prescription to listen to Lizzo five times a day because they couldn't afford medicine and their insurance wouldn't allow claims. The Cereal Mascot acting like mob-bosses, LOL. Wut!? XD Leave it to South Park to come up with some of the most random things. Classic South Park? No. But if you're a fan, it's enjoyable. If you know have heard of Vennu Mallesh, this is a must watch.

I didn't really care about South Park, only knew what the characters were like and such, but when I saw this recently released I decided "f-ck it why not" it's funny and I really did enjoy it. My favorite scene has to be when they're exploring the United States healthcare system and then Butters gets lost and has no idea what they're doing anymore. I thought it was really funny that the kids had to keep going back and forth from insurance to hospitals and clinics etc and still then didn't even get the drug. The "Lizzo" prescription ad is also one of my favorite scenes, especially when Stan's mom says "learn to not give a flying f-ck!" (Or something like that, when I'm posting this it's been 2-3 hours since I watched it) Overall enjoyable movie.

This special felt very different from the others.... Where were the brutal jokes? The commentary on what's going on today, that hit a little too close to home, like with the pandemic specials. In short, when I heard this was about the ozempic craze, I expected more than I got out of it. Frankly, it would have been better if they highlighted the serious side effects that people can have when on ozempic, and maybe showed how willing most people are to put themselves in that harms way just to make themselves look better. Instead, we get a really lame b plot of randy running around with mom's-turned-robbers after he thought they were abusing normal drugs. It just doesn't land, and it's a serious missed opportunity. The children's cereal mascots being actual cartoon creatures, and the way they overplayed those out in extended scenes, really made this one feel like it was intended for a different audience. That and the song from butters / montage of Kyle and the rest working so hard to help Cartmen.... What on earth was this? This wasn't south park. On top of that... It's jarring how much effort they put into overly diversifying the side characters in this special. This felt like the same kind of pandering that the last special was making fun of.
