When Zoe Williams has to prove to a big investor that her company's new dating app works, she tests it on herself and soon ends up on a date with her complete opposite, Oliver Beckett, an easygoing, spontaneous artist. Huh. Not exactly Zoe's type. Even though it's clear the pair have chemistry, Zoe's worried- could something be wrong with DigiLove's algorithm? Or is it true when people say "opposites attract"?

The investor asks a very simple request right from the start, show me the app works by giving me a successful couple. The main character says she's been working on the app for years, there's a whole team, there's thousands of users- was there not a single successful couple to show? I get this issue leads to the whole purpose of the movie but come on it's a dating app company! You should have some successful matches if you are advertising it's use and wanting an investor brought on. Also when the guy got Hawaiian pizza it was a surprise- he didn't order it, so the pizza question is not necessarily wrong. There were some good scenes and some boring ones. It's watchable but nothing special.
I don't know why I went past the 5 minute mark. It's not great acting at all. And a feels so cheesy. Apart from the attractive male lead being good to look at, I absolutely wouldn't recommend this movie at all. So much cringe. And B grade at best. I read the other two reviews here and kept going because of them. But nope.
Such a nice, funny and enjoyable movie! It's really good mostly because of the cast, their harmony, their chemistry. All of them are perfect together, some moments were really funny, like the victory dance, and, besides the leads, I really loved the two side characters: Leo and Jillian, Zoe's best friend. Leo is so funny, Jillian is funny, so cute and she did a great job being Zoe's friend. Finally, the couple, Oliver and Zoe, seem so close, natural. You will definetly enjoy the movie despite the story which is not original.
I like this genre, so if you don't, stop reading (and don't bother leaving a review). Emily Alatalo is just so cute and playful that who couldn't fall in love with her. That's the thing - I knew all along that they were going to get together in the end but I almost wanted to fast forward to the end to be sure because I couldn't stand it if they didn't. Movies that follow the Hallmark formula so often leave out closure. Any closure, even if it is just a little, usually it's just final kiss and credits. The filmmakers didn't leave me disappointed here. Thanks.
I could tell this movie was written by a woman because the writer nailed the friendship between the two lead women. It was beautiful to see and such a welcome change from poorly fleshed out friendships in similar movies. The supporting actress (Natalie Lisinska) did a great job being the friend we all hope to have. The lead actress (Emily Alatalo) was wonderful at showing romantic chemistry. Her body language and mannerisms were spot on and sold the movie for me. That and the friendship more than compensated for some of the weaker parts. I think most people who like this genre of movies will enjoy this one.
