I was confused why this movie received such low ratings, but I now understand. I really like Burak O and was looking forward to watching him. But (no fault of his) this show didn't deserve him. The writing was very boring, his character was likeable and charming but he has so much more potential and it was wasted on this movie. What's the point anyway? He likes a girl, she likes him and then.....WHAT???? I won't spoil it other than to say: THAT WAS SOOOOOOOO stupid! The only redeeming factor I can possibly think of is: While watching, it was kind of cool that the two actors really do love each other in real life. OK. That is the only good thing about it. That's all.
Dumbest movie ever! I'd say it's a Turkish adaptation of Hollywood Safe Haven but all worst scenarios put together. The story does not have any basis and actually has a poor finishing. Boring from start to finish. My question though... must there be a sad or tragic ending in Turkish movies? There are beautiful ways to end a movie without leaving the audience feeling bad, dissatisfied or depressed to say the least. I think writers of Turkish dramas/movies can look it up sometime.
I've watched and I like the movie very much. It could be better, but it's for those who like too see a melow romance and that's it. I don't like Burak very much, he never convince me as actor, but Fahryie Evcen always very good and gorgeous!
Ask Sana Benzer. A very STUPID movie. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME! Why and who would write such a stupid movie? This writer and producer is really asking an audience to believe that a character (Deniz) is so stupid that they can't even talk? Can't even talk to their lover about important things? Can't explain anything to anyone? Must be submissive to a freaking murderer deviate? Etc. Etc. Etc.. STUPID MOVIE!
Just because your together in real life doesn't mean you have chemistry in every series or movie. Over exagerrated roles, as usual overrun scenes, don't bother.
I recently discovered Turkish series and already watched Kara Sevda and Kardesim Benim by Burak Ozcivit. I enjoyed those some what. Now, aside from the fact that he is handsome, I think he is fairly decent actor, good voice control and can cry on the spot (seems to be important in Turkish screens). Same can not be said for Fahriye Evcen, lovely, gorgeous and obviously a model, she can not act. Her reactions are over the top, and her voice just comes off as "theatrical" in every scene, almost as if she is in a parody or a parody of her real self. She needs more coaching and better direction. There is a scene in the beginning where she is surprised and falls to the ground is cringe worthy. As for the movie; the story line is simple, boy meets girl, falls in love, girl has a secret etc, etc. If you are in for a romantic movie, it's a perfect plot. However, the scenes leading the couple falling in love are to few and pretty weak. There are holes in the plot you can drive a semi-trailer through. It is endless closeups of the two actors. Past the love story there is the return of the "evil ex". Again, not enough plot, to build something with this story line either. The point of the movie is confusing: If the movie is about their love; there is not enough plot to support that If the movie is about the evil ex and her true identity; there is nowhere near enough to support that plot either The movie is 1h45m long and everything happens in the last 10 mins. Viewers need a bit more story telling than that. Additionally, I didn't find her singing very charming. It is so high pitched that its uncomfortable. But this is a Turkish thing, once you are beautiful and popular, they will get you singing. There are many examples of that in Turkish entertainment industry. I strongly feel, she should avoid that trap and be discouraged on the singing. It cheapens the already amateurish acting. Finally, the end is almost laughable. (spolier alert) Burak Ozcivit's character dies but leaves a teary eyed widow and a child behind... Now where have we seen that before?? What happens to the evil ex, how he dies? how she survives? all loose ends. If it's supposed to be intriguing to the viewer, it really isn't. It just looks rushed and lazy Really boring movie and really boring end. Beautiful scenery in a charming Turkish coast, and that kind of makes up for wasting 1h45m of my life (almost) Here is my personal take on the "reason" for this film being made; I know this couple is well loved and respected in Turkey. I also think they are adorable. They met in a series called Calikusu and made this movie just after that. It is made by Burak Ozcivits production company and I think he wanted to have a project with her and rushed into this one to keep her close. As this is the movie where the actors fell in love and eventually got married. Good for them! We love a good celebrity marriage and movie projects, but please make better movies, find better story lines. Fahriye, get some more acting lessons, and please don't sing - let professionals take on the singing. You are doing fine without the singing.
This movie has friendship, romance and is a tear-jerker. Love the singing by both Burak and Fahriye.. the music sweeps you up into the movie. The location it set in is perfect.
I loved this movie, it's a very good movie for who love romance and drama, like me! I don't know how someone can say that fahriye evcen its a bad or poor actress. She's very good actress, she's crying like a normal person would cry. She's very expressive. She's a very good actress. Its just see the movie "Evim Sensin" and the tv show "Ölene Kadar". There's no excessive crying, even screams. this movie has a beautifull love story. And its the proposal of the movie. If you expect action on the movie, go see it a action movie. This is a romance and drama movie with a lovely story. I recommend this movie!
Very bad, pointless scenario. do not waste your time
The worst movie i've ever seen, really! So rotten, so boring, so dumb! Couldn,t make it to the end! My last experience with Turkish movies. Unprecedented crap... The guy playing the lead didn't even look handsome, the girl was ugly with her froggy huge mouth smile & looked unwashed with her greasy hair/// No acting, just pulling faces, no singing, just squeaking, no story, just...nothing. Producers and actors must respect their viewers, it's us who bring them money. I feel hurt and robbed! Complete flop! Such a stuff must never be shown on TV or in a movie theatre, if they don't have any talent, they should study and learn something first. It's a big shame for Turkey to make such "movies"##########
