Die Alone

Surprised by this movie , thought it would just be another zombie movie but with a virus take But it's about love and what we will do to preserve it and protect those we do love As the movie progressed you get the hook , you would have to be blind not to , but ax you are drawn in you really feel a connection with the characters and their journey Frank Grillo and his family give a view of what life could be in this dystopian disaster , and although his screen time is very short , any movie he is in is with a view. Nice to see Carrie Ann Moss again too , altogether a great cast , well directed and well thought out movie. I highly recommend this movie.

This is beautifully shot. The story has some interesting takes on the apocalypse story but the apocalypse is just the back drop for a tragic love story. This was worth every minute. It is a slow burn because it needs to be. The story makes me feel exactly how it should. It was beautiful and bleak. I could feel that time had passed and solitude was the norm. The characters were believable and the exchanges and dialogue felt very real. I was familiar with the director's other work but this is, by far, the best. I will watch this again. This is the kind of storytelling that I need with these types of films.

I guess some people didn't actually watch the movie. Yes there were a lot of weird parts that you only figure out AFTER you see the whole thing. The two guys at the beginning, only one was killed and she called herself blind for doing it. Yes they took the guys truck, but not a lot of working vehicles there. Sure it seems like she knows where this guy is going (co star), and yes he does a lot of stupid things. Again, we find out later what is actually going on and what is motivating him and her. Nice theme, the earth taking herself back from people. Also nice in keeping the story line going till the end. Probably not a lot of re-watchability, but was not as bad as some of the recent movies. I like Frank Grillo, but not in this movie. He's not a great bible thumper. Overall it wasn't a waste of time. I think some people should watch the show, then write the review. It would be less confusing.
