A bunch of dumb cops are on the case of a pedantic serial killer with a gift for idioms. A central premise of the show probably won't make a lot of sense to the speakers/writers of Indo-European languages because we have less cultural emphasis on idioms and because our writing system requires less specificity of form to be intelligible. Regardless this is a funny spoof that benefits from the interactions of a game cast, just enough genuine suspense to build intrigue and some pretty incisive (translated) dialogue. It's not exactly deep or challenging, it's just good goofy fun that makes a nice bingeworthy diversion for a couple of hours.
The charm and wit of marry my dead body have been kicked aside for a ham fisted cash in, the very things that made the film funny are totally ignored here. I was so looking forward to GG after rewatching marry my dead body, I expected great things. The first episode is just not funny the roles are caricatures the fat one, the female one, the uptight one, the hysterical boss, there is a serial killer scene with cooking that will put you off kebabs for life, I couldn't watch anymore it was really awkward, then it got worse the jock guy was pounding a punch bag, the uptight one was flicking a knife while questioning a suspect it was ludicrous, I'm so disappointed that I won't be watching anymore.
