The concept of this film is ages old and similar to Dhadak (2018). So you can say that this film is a simple straightforward one with an ending you can predict if you have watched these honor killing films. However, what makes it a superior product to Dhadak are :- 1. Raw feel to the film and interesting screenplay. Good capture of Haryana and typical high class families that live there. 2. No over dramatization. Even in a scene when Vikrant sees his dead mother , there is no over dramatization with him crying like a mad broken person or some "aaaaaa" music playing in the background. This is a good thing. 3. Bobby deol's terrific performance as a cold blooded assassin who thinks 0 times before shooting anyone , Girl or boy, dead. I think we haven't seen a cold blooded assassin like him in recent times. Sanya too shines as a strong girl who doesn't fear men . 4. No dances . Only two beautiful songs playing in thr background as the film progresses that's it. Now this film is definitely not perfect:- 1. Bobby's weird accent got my skin crawling and it's not a positive at all. Somehow I wanted him to just not talk at all (though he has very little djalogues ). 2. The police angle! Police chasing Bobby where did they disappear suddenly in the end? 3. No novelty to the story line. No twist nothing! I was expecting a twist at least one but there is none. Overall, just a good one time watch. Had it not been for the positives I mentioned this film would have been no more than a 2 star out of 10.
Finally something nice came, everyone's acting is nice, cinematography is cool, crime suspense is loaded, a Must watch movie for genre lovers. Superb acting and back ground music is okay okay.
One sided story like watching a dhinchak pooja video song same poor muslim boy who married to hindu girl and now they are fighting to survive and to deal with this so called regressive hindu society. Cam'on yar we are just bored to watch this type of narrative movies.make some diffrent content which will be new for us and unique to experience. Just a only thing is best about the movie is performance of bobby deol.
Acting, setup & direction is really good but the story has so many plotholes that it becomes unbearable in the end. I was praying the leads get killed before anybody else gets killed. Bobby Deol looks good but murders everywhere, like in a Baraat, hotel, lawyers home - no media, no attention, seriously?? His character ate up all the suspense & tension built before. Why is he literally killing everything that moves!!!! The girl is a CA in Delhi but they don't plan to elope to other city, rather stay in a safehouse inaugurated by her own Grandmom, who is supposed to be an MLA!! They're themselves running for their lives but piling up new people like the guy's mom and her sister. What sort of stupidity is this yaar?? The way the couple was fighting like kids, had immature eloping plan or ran away despite one is a CA & other is a shopkeeper involved with criminal activities- really makes you think what you're trying to glorify for upcoming generations!
I really don't understand as to why they come up with such content. Maybe for the hatredness towards another religion. My question is why everytime it's a Muslim boy and a Hindu girl and why not the reverse. Coward and scared filmmakers.
Propoganda against Hindus. As usual m community shown as peaceful. And Hindus as vilion. Grow up Bollywood. People are fed up with this all bakwas jhihadi mindsets.
This is very boring. Obviously with a big star cast you expect something better. If you've got high expectations then you will hate the series. It does not live up to the hype. As I watched each episode it got more and more boring. There were parts where I thought there was some over acting. Looks like the controversy was created just for publicity. There is nothing worth watching in this movie. Story is very very weak and predictable. There was no logic of inter religion issue into honor killing story. Normalizing beef and trafficking , Easily predictable story. Direction: .2/5 Story: .2/5 Acting: .4/5 Dialogues: .3/5 Background Music: .3/5 Satisfying Ending: 0/5.
Review By Kamal K Director Shanker Raman sets up the world to explore the dark side of Haryana, and to keep things short and gritty, he misses to build any sort of tension through the narrative. You don't root for either of the leads, as the director fails to create any sort of sympathy towards the leads, and this is due to a lack of characterisation. While the first hour shows some spark, the entire build-up falls like a pack of cards towards the final 45 minutes. Bobby Deol's character too is undercooked as there was a need to invest more time in curating a backstory for a serial killer like him, who is riding on such a strong and overpowering ideology. Talking of performances, Bobby Deol shines and delivers a powerful performance. He is fierce all through the film, has a screen presence that's enough to spike fear, and does well with his dialogue delivery too. Sanya Malhotra too delivers an earnest performance, slipping into the mould of her multi-dimensional character. Vikrant Massey is good as always and does well within the circle that the script entangled him in. Raj Arjun's character is rather pointless, though he has done well in the arc. Akshay Oberoi and the rest of the actors are rather wasted, not getting enough scope to perform. Postive - Performances Negative - Plot holes Character Development Lighting Vfx And Graphics And most important thing Ek banda Vakeel, police, couples, sabko maar deta hai aur koi media Attention Nhi, okay wow.
What a movie -- this is as dark as it gets..... brilliant performances all round. Outstanding direction, editing, cinematography & background score. Bobby Deol is creepy as hell and freakin scary, what a performance. This is a courageous film that makes no apologies, kudos to the producers. This movie bravely tackles a taboo topic, kudos to the team.
M community guy who is hero of the film indulged in crime but to save his father..the Innocent father is falsely accused as a terrorist..on the other hand every Hindu in this film is bad be it a fourteen year old young guy or a sixty year old woman or be it the friend...another level of propaganda.
