I just noticed as I re-watched this nice film. David Alpay is painting a sleigh once again! Remember Sleigh Bells Ring? He makes great Christmas movies. Funny! 🙂
What's the best Hallmark movie I have seen years since the Christmas Train
I don't understand all the bad reviews. I thought the main actors were fine together and I was happy to see a woman of color in the lead for once. All the main Hallmark movie actresses are blonde or have highlighted hair. Yes I know Lacey Chabert, Erin Cahill and Danica McKellar are brunette but they are still white women. Hallmark doesn't use brown skinned people that often -- although they are getting better. The scenery in the movie was beautiful and again I wish I could visit a small town that is decorated like that for Christmas. I enjoyed the mystery part and even though everything seemed to fall into place so easily (it IS a Hallmark movie), I liked it better than the typical big bad developer coming to tear everything down. It's 2022 Hallmark -- don't you think it's time to come up with some different plot lines? If you need help, I'm available! It's a cute movie with a mystery plot and the actors are easy on the eyes. What else do you want or need?
Yes all Hallmark movies are predictable, but I like these two leads and the story was a little different than the usual. I liked David Alpay and Nazarene Contractor- I don't get the complaints. I thought they had nice chemistry, were both sensitive, thoughtful adults. Living in Los Angeles during Covid, with no snow, no Christmas pageants or tree lighting ceremony- is it all seems a little bit surreal, but I enjoyed this one.
Very predictable and sometimes almost painful....female journalist, hurts the man she likes in the story she's writing...you've seen it before. The worst was the ending when he puts the engagement ring on a chain for her. It's a a hard pass for this one.
I was hooked as soon as I saw the ring. My only complaint is that anyone who games knows you have to measure ingredients precisely.
This movie has everything from intrigue, romance, mystery, nostalgia and heartfelt acting. It is the best Christmas movie of the year!
Nice story ,well done camera work , Lead Actor was well cast. The problem I have with this movie is the lead actress needs to go back to class.
As a lover of ancestry & family heirlooms- this story was heartwarming. As someone that lost a lot of family heirlooms in a fire- I loved this story. Predictable Hallmark ending with a misunderstanding over a newspaper article though
