The biggest problem in this choir was that the focus was on performing lots of runs. I found these to be really distracting and in the end very wearying. Maria's beautiful clear voice was great just as it was and I felt that making her do "gospel style" music wasn't necessary. Why not celebrate some of the differences in voices and singing styles? loved the stories and the backgrounds of the different singers. I hope they continue to do well.
Loved the first part of the series but the finale could have been so much more!! I was wanting to hear the choir and we heard the chosen few who I don't think were the best singers to begin with. It would've been better if they would've kept them as a choir and maybe had brief solos... Disappointing ending.
Started watching and couldn't stop. I love the spirit of this series. The vision to build a diverse choir as many voices blended together as one in worship speaks to the heart of the church. The church is a bunch of flawed, imperfect people who come together to show what can happen when you let God shine through.
There is a lot of amazing raw talent. I wish the episodes were longer but I do understand it's a pilot season so I'm ready to see it take off. Jahzeel looks like he can blow so let's see more!!! Overall I love it and it's very emotional and heart feeling!
