Yeah, this is not a bigger budget Hallmark, but it's still entertaining enough. Most of the acting is tolerable -- they are all pretty young, so time should help. The writing does need help. It's a fairly solid story, but the misunderstanding part, that all of these movies have, could use work. I would have left it out and just have the girl's character naturally grow to trust the family. (And don't give your Jezebel character the last name of Hore-ton). Also, the lack of continuity was distracting, especially no snow, snow, no snow, snow, and time on clocks moving forward and back. I do like the fact that this was a more religious Christmas movie, and did not rely on "the magic of Christmas" theme they all seem to rely on now. Anyway, this is a student-type film that is entertaining and appropriate for the whole family.
This is an AGONIZING movie. It looks like it was filmed on an iPhone, no one has more acting talent than a high schooler. Every scene is like pulling your own fingernails out. There is no plot. There is no point. You follow the characters like you're really there in the worst way, it's like following a bunch of losers around their home town. Every single one of these people peaked in middle school. Not even high school. ALL of the dialogue sounds like it was written by people who learned to write by reading cereal boxes. I've seen better commercials for used cars. I would say the intellectual level could be compared to Baby's First Movie. This is HORRIBLE. Do NOT waste your time.
