All I want was a fun film with a great twist. I truly enjoyed this film. The storyline was relatable. It kept me enaged and caurious about the upcoming big accouncement. Director West Liang did a great job guiding all of his actors to deliver their best performances. The camera work, editing, & music were on point.
An authentic look at relationships as a group of friends gathers for their friend's tenth anniversary. It's not a movie fast based movie but a lovely look at real intricacies of the struggles in relationships from marriage to wanting to conceive. This friendship were authentic and it made me flashback to many moments in my own life and reflect on love, wants, and longings. and life. The cast has great chemistry and I felt strange for watching these intimate moments as it was so real and well-acted. I really liked this film.
I loved the way this film had my putting together all the pieces right up until the end. Some heavy subject matter dealt with using heart and humor. A very honest look at relationships. Recommend!
Very truthful and honest relationships driven film. The writing, direction and performances are all excellent. If your looking for a truthful exploration unit commitment and all the trials that go with it, then this is the film.
A good love story that keeps u intrigued to the end. Couple struggling to keep there relationship together and how there friends was there to help them through it. U don't know how much your relationship can effect your friends until u go through something like this. The ending still has me wondering if they worked it out. Might have to be a part ll lol. The two main actors carried the film well
What makes a drama like this work begins with a premise, and "All I Want" has a doozy. Anniversaries can be momentous times, and Mel and Drew supply the fuel for the moment. The theme here is broad yet simple: Where do we go from here? Of course, this gives rise other questions such as: "Did I make the right choice?" or "Should we have children?" Mix these weighty items with a sense of humor, and you have a thought-inducing, life affirming piece. Try it on for size; it may be your cup of afternoon tea.
First I thought it was bad acting, then thought it was poor plot, then I realized the millennial generation are so self obsessed they have cut off their parents, cut off their kids or typically don't have any, finally have "friends" notice that's in quotes because they don't really have any friends nor real relationships. it must suck to be them. rated one because this movie is just depressing
This movie felt so real and relatable. This movie doesn't tackle huge issues or have special effects and explosions but instead portrays real relationships with flawed people. I found it very refreshing and really enjoyed going on the journey with the main characters. If you're looking for an indie about relationships and the difficulties of them check it out!
A touchingly beautiful musing on the complexity of life, love and relationships. A kind of 'Abigail's Party' meets 'Rachel Getting Married' with an Altmanesque multi-protagonist format, such as in 'Short Cuts', 'Nashville' and 'Gosford Park'. A really strong indie dramedy that is a delight to recommend.
