Films like these should be made more often. The media is often taken for granted and 90% of media is sold to politicians and these criminals who know no one can touch them. Salute to those reporters who risk everything they have to bring out the sad truth and reality. Bhumi's and Sanjay Mishra's acting is excellent and the negative roles played by everyone makes you hate them. The storytelling and direction of Pulkit is also worth appreciating. It is an emotional movie to watch taking you through the ups and downs of life, it feels sad that some bad people ruin lives of innocent and good girls. In an advanced county like Canada also, there are thousands of cases of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and no one has a clue until they find remains of their bodies.
I don't watch Hindi movies much. They are all masala, macho, mumbo jumbo nonsense. I liked Bhakshak movie. The acting is decent, the direction is done well and the story is strong enough to grip your attention. The story however is heart wrenching. It's not easy to watch the plight of the girls. Though it's a fictional story it makes you wonder if there are places like this in our country where children are suffering. I like the social message of this movie. I strongly think journalism is dead in our country compared to the west. I hope aspiring children of our future will give this field the respect it deserves. I would vote to see more movies like this.
Bhumi was outstanding. Raw and real throughout the film as were othe other lead actors. You feel the the pain and burden Bhumi experiences and journey she embarks on. There nothing Bollywood about this . It deserves all of the praise and recognition it gets. The directors ability to tell the story in such a humble and honest way without glamorising anything is outstanding. Really hoping more of these types of films are produced in India that address such issues and confront the ugly truth on such incidents that occur. Thankful there was no singing and dancing to try lighten the heavy issue the film dives in. 10 out of 10 👏
BHAKSHAK on Netflix unfolds a gritty and honest narrative, exposing systemic flaws with unflinching realism. "Bhashak," Netflix's latest offering, courageously exposes systemic flaws inspired by the Muzaffarpur shelter home case. Director Pulkit navigates the harrowing tale with restraint, shunning sensationalism for authenticity. The film delves into the challenges faced by small-town journalists reporting on powerful crimes. Bhumi Pednekar shines as Vaishali, embodying the film's editorial voice with sincerity. Sanjay Mishra adds seasoned humor, while Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar deliver excellent support. The film, backed by Shahrukh's Red Chillies Entertainment, deserves recognition for tackling crucial narratives. With a focus on realism over dramatic highs, "Bhashak" stands as a testament to the importance of telling impactful stories. Instagram & X : @streamgenx for more reviews.
Amazing acting by Bhumi Inspiring movie. Heart wrenching to see things that can happen to inmocent girld and the extent to which humanity can lower itself. Kudos to Nivedita Jha, the real journalist who actually exposed the case. You are a hero and you are being seen. I just wish she was accredited in the movie. The only issue I had with the movie was that they didn't do an actual credit to the hero. Otherwise, a worth it watch. Politics, mob mexus is as old as time. We need people like Nivedita, the SSP who are strong women and who are willing to fight no matter the cost of standing up for an issue.
First of all Cast is absolutely perfect the detailing and accent is perfect bhumi slightly struggling with the language other than that no flaw . The opening scene is so horrible totally shattered after saw that. My issue is that they use Hindu gods reference and pictures in background so smoothly whenever the BANSI came on screen it's look targeted to Hindus to me coz if they didn't use those refrence or pic like they did for VAISHALI it's doesn't make any difference in the story so I feel it's intentionally SPECIAL MENTION Top notch details about the home decoration Conversational langauge 10/10 Makers for to stick in real world scene and didn't make any unconventional scene they stick to the real world.
Positive: The dialogues pack a powerful punch, delivering a strong message for society. Viewers can take away valuable lessons for their daily lives. The negative characters are portrayed excellently, with special commendation to Red Chillies for presenting such impactful content. The director has executed their role effectively, and Sanjay Mishra delivers a solid performance as always. Overall, it's a must-watch movie. Negative: Unfortunately, the acting, particularly by the lead actress Bhumi, falls short and feels mismatched for the roles. Her performance comes across as dull and doesn't meet expectations. Additionally, the emotional aspect of the movie lacks depth, failing to connect with the audience as effectively as movies like Article 15 by Anubhav Sinha.
