A quirky and twisted little thriller. Sick, creepy and odd. Some said, it's funny at times. Well If u look closely it's just pure evil finding it's way into a normal life's family... undermining, poisoning & (ab)use everything and everybody. 2019's parasite i found very similar however Borgman, despite its irrationality and flaws, more original.

It's really intriguing, diverse and confusing, also engrossing movie. However, there are many references to Christian culture and myth. If you don't have knowledge on this topic, you can't get the point. The symbol seems strange. After watching movie, you should surf on the web and take notes to see the bigger picture. Still, it's well-done movie, also disturbing. Although, the questions raised on remain unanswered, the curiosity is always kept alive. Throughout the movie the number of questions which remain unanswered continually increasing. Acting is very well. If you think about the popular movies which seem similar to each other, thanks to its uncommon atmosphere this could be the most outstanding movie I've seen this year.

Clearly, this movie serves as a symbolic representation of the refugee problem in Europe. Good-minded kind people invite people into their territory, get screwed, and not even know why.

The story is strange, rather incomprehensible and extremely unsettling. It is about a group of people which just appear somewhere, make others do the strangest things and finally disappear into the woods again. One of the members of the group, not coincidentally played by Van Warmerdam himself, has total power over the other members of the group through a 'thing' that he implants under their skin. Describing it like this makes clear that the movie is about how Van Warmerdam experiences making a film: he settles down somewhere with his crew and lets everyone do what he wants, no matter what, in front of the camera (the 'thing'). Sometimes the actors behave understandably, sometimes not at all. The main character projects dreams (a movie) in the mind of the sleeping woman (us, the public). When he thinks all is ready he disappears again, together with his crew.
