I've seen hundreds of specials and this was my favorite. I read all these reviews here and I just don't think these people were open to taking his perspective on topics that we all face. Comedy isn't just punch line after punch line anymore. That style of comedy is too easy for legends like Chris Rock, Chappelle and Louie. Legends of comedy teach. They are so good at vocalizing the lessons they learn while also making it funny. If you aren't ready to learn and personally reflect on yourself, you're dumb and this special may not be enjoyable for you. This special showed a vulnerable side of Chris Rock. It really was amazing to watch. It was intelligent, clever, deep and insanely relatable. It is without a doubt his best work, and in my opinion the best special of all time. Netflix is changing comedy for the better

Strange seeing reviews on this and other Stand-Up specials from the last 2yrs and realizing that some people are just joining IMDB just to give a 1 rating. I enjoyed this, having been thru similar, albiet not the kids or courtroom dramas or kids but, the divorce, the mess and dating again. Unless you have been thru it, you won't laugh. And since its a specific audience/people that the jokes are aimed at, other viewers are getting offended. Funny that.
I found this so honest, and funny and well put together, and I'm a white man. The top reviewer of this is a joke.
Loved it. Chris is hilarious PER USUAL. Just a home run... Loved the small intimate setting as well. He just keeps getting better. I laughed so hard when he talked about training his daughters for this world... so funny!
Chris has lost something he never had. Thats the ability to work as an individual. He has always copied work from others right down to facial expressions and gestures. Now he is alone and his set here shows it. Its time to move on. Good bye
Chris rock and Netflix should be ASHAMED of themselves

Brilliant, sums it up. Tamborine is the best thing I have seen in years.
