Based on the 16th-century Chinese novel Feng Shen Yan Yi (The Investiture of the Gods), the story tells of how King Zhou of Shang becomes a tyrant due to the wiles of Daji, a vixen spirit who is disguised as one of his concubines.

The lead is a nepo baby and this movie was sponsored by his mom for 7 million USD. He wanted to be a famous actor and he was jet-li's apprentice. I watched this because he was currently trending and this movie was rated 3 star and was known to flop. I wanted to see this to be fair, my honest judgement? it wasn't as bad as they said it was but it wasn't great either but it looked very expensive and it has potential, the story line was exciting but it wasn't executed the way it should be. This is an okay movie and would recommend this to kids, the effects or cgi or animation ain't bad considering this was 2016. I would not recommend it to adults tho but you can watch if you wanted to. Thanks
