Love this film but trying to find out the fabulous song that is sung in the film.
This movie closely follows the tried and tested recipe, with very little originality mixed in, but it is all-age friendly from the cute kid thru to the 1940s backstory. The super-sized opening credits were over-done by about three minutes and it took a few more to get into the story, so hang in there. Some goofs cause distraction, like eating the cake in front of the intact cake (unless they made yet more, which is possible knowing the customer). The sadness of missing loved ones stops the film from being too sweet so I could have a second helping.
Little Mola Jones who plays the little daughter personality reminds me of a young Shirley Temple. Loved her!
Lindsey Gort may be the only redeeming thing in the racist, hate filled show All Rise. And here , her bubbly beauty and energy lifts up this UPTV movie over so many of the exact same pilots on Hallmark movies. And the little girl is just precious.
Everyone was adorable in this. The little girl is sooooo cute! Lovely story, great acting, 10 stars. And honestly- I've now seen Jaime Callica play a Doctor, famous writer, FBI agent and now cute/nerdy finance guy in this... One of the most versatile I've seen.
I enjoyed this movie and the chemistry between the leads is good. The little girl is adorable. But a big part of the movie is about the owner trying to raise enough money to buy her building so she doesn't have to go out of business. BUT I have to wonder.... who rents a building for 65 years.
