I disliked the movie strongly, the only positive thing about it is that it contains a squid, which saved the movie for my son at four. Also I fell asleep and my son woke me, have never fallen asleep in a cinema before.

I'm struggling to find a single positive here. Not the plot. Not the script. Not the animation. Certainly not the music, or the morals (making fun of old l, forgetful ladies and getting married in a heartbeat,? Ew.)
This movie was very bad. Both the animation and the storyline was rubbish. I went to the cinema to watch it with my 5 year old daughter. She aksed me if we could leave many times during the film. But we saw almost to the end before we left. Outside of the theatre, she stopped and said «Mom, I have never been so bored before», and I agree, it really was that bad..
The animation was pretty bad, but the music that never stopped, every scene (even when they were just talking) had a music that I guess was supposed to create suspense and intrigue, was over the top, and annoying, and it was All THE TIME! It was very irritating. The plot was bad, and the volume control was off (too loud compared to the voices-but maybe that was especially for the Norwegian dub version?). This movie is horrible to watch for adults, and just bad for kids, some of the humor was not ok, and even my son of 4 wanted to go after seeing half of the movie (without me having commented anything about the movie prior to this). Do not watch, it's a waste of time and money.
"From the wrighter behind Toy Story" it said on the cinema poster. Oh boy did we get our hopes and expectations up. Normally I feel no need for posting bad reviews for animation films because they (film studios) all gotta start somewhere and kids like the movies almost regardless of how much grown ups dislike them. But this one... Oh dear.. When you walk into the cinema with Pixar and Toy Story in mind and get this, you will get disappointed, very disappointed. Everything from the manuscript, animation, music composition, volume control (voices and sound effects) and voice acting (dubbed norwegian version) was wrong. This film seemed like a mess of a school project and don't come close to the quality we're used of seeing from Pixar and Dreamworks. I wish the creators of this movie the best of luck in future projects, but I hope they've learned from this one and don't advertice the same way if they can't deliver. You are hereby warned.

Reminded me of any of the cheap animated series on Netflix. Also boring for everyone, minimal action and happening, but a lot of boring dialog makes it hard to any child to engage.
A really really bad movie and its quality is unacceptable. I've literally seen college project that are even better...
Even though I did enjoy it Parents need to know that despite some bright, colorful animation, and a few appealing heroes, Sea Level is filled with dark images, eerie music, bullying used as humor, scarily-mutated sea creatures, an abusive human father, and characters constantly in fear for their lives. Viewers, especially young ones, will find the film's often disconnected structure and abrupt scene endings hard to follow. If Sea Level is meant as a humorous, cautionary tale about protecting the planet and its oceans, that message is as random and murky as the story itself and the few humorous sequences don't qualify it as watchable.
