This is perhaps one of the worst movie I have seen in recent years, animated or not. Its absolutely baffling how it manages to both nonsensical but also incredibly cliched and unimaginative, jumping randomly from one thing to another almost like "We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story ", but without none of the cheesy 90s charm that movie had. The animation is not that bad. Not great, but not terrible either. But the writing, on the other hand, its absolutely atrocious. I know this is a something made for very little kids and all that jazz, but I genuinelly believe this is the type of movie that can make kids dumber. It doesn't even teach anything to kids, is just dumb.
I am European, so I'm entitled to this question. I want my money and 90 minutes of my life back. This movie is straight to streaming material, stay well away from it in the cinemas. It is a prime example of how inferior European filmmaking is to American filmmaking when it comes to creating captivating movies that you can watch together with your children. This movie has no character development, no real engaging conflict, nothing in it for the parents. Just a shallow, derivative storyline peppered with sudden uncalled for jerks, farts and falls. Because, you know, children. And don't get me started on the uncomfortable stereotypes.
Well. Maybe some nice animations but that's it. Characters not well evolved and do stupid things all the time. Stereotypes everywhere and the laughs? Haven't been much. Not recommend to watch at all.
Loved this little gem. It was just so fun! I like the line in this said by the nasty Moonman quote, "The Good, The Bug and The Ugly", unquote. Though I think I would have said, "The Good, The Sad and The Bugly". You'll know why should you choose to view this annimated delight. It has all the hallmarks of childrens entertainment (no matter what size or age should that child be... :) lol). Bullies, Crazies, Bad guy...Booo, Fairy...yay, whacky script and lovely graphics and - the most important of all - that feel good factor that just makes you thoroughly HAPPY! I have never seen an Austrian, German animated film collaboration before (not that it really matters what countries are involved...its either good or its bad is all that matters).
