Perfect in '76 (2017) *** 1/2 (out of 4) Highly entertaining documentary taking a look at Indiana University and their perfect season in 1976. The documentary starts off talking about the school's rather low times and how everything changed when Bobby Knight arrived on the screen. Through interviews with journalists, the players and Knight, we get to hear and see that magical run that made history. Quite a bit has been written on this team since they're still the only undefeated team in college basketball history. What makes this documentary so different is the fact that so many of the players are on hand to discuss their success and even better is the fact that Knight is here. If you know anything about sports then you know Knight and Indiana's relationship is pretty much broken as of me writing this. That's really too bad but it's great that he agreed to be interviewed here and discuss the team that many consider to be the greatest to ever play. The film runs just short of a hour and we get clips from the biggest games throughout the team's run including the championship game. We get some terrific interview footage and we also hear some funny stories about an issue between Knight and The Indianapolis Star. If you're a fan of college basketball then you'll certainly want to check this out.
