Friendly introduction of what we should know about covid-19, the pandemic and some solution.
Strangely, the beginning of a documentary about a pandemic starts with an upbeat music. Not sure that was the best choice of music there. Despite arriving at a record time during this pandemic, a potentially good documentary turned into a typical Hollywood cheesy storyline filled up with the world = USA kind of mentality. When a pandemic, by definition, involves the whole world, why would most (more than 80%) of the 'science' in the show be extracted from U.S.-based scientists? It was extremely annoying how it was implied that the slow response of China meant that the whole country did not do a good job (same case with Italy). However, when it came to the united states, almost nothing was mentioned about how poorly it was handled (only one scene of president Trump saying "nobody could have predicted..."). Lastly, the narration by J.K. Simmons was extremely opinion-driven where he tries so hard to invoke the viewers emotions about how the whole world has come together to end this pandemic, when in reality the world is in utter distress.
I wrote a 12-page report with pictures and all, that were provided from the limited series. I learned a great deal from "Coronavirus, Explained" about viruses, pandemics, and the current outbreak we are dealing with of COVID-19 in 2020. I am in the midst of learning about flu's and pandemics and this limited series came at the perfect time. I'm also guessing some of the filming was cut short, but the crew did a great job with the interviews they had conducted before hand and the stats/videos they compiled together. Great work. Great timing. Extremely valuable.

Does this have only one episode? When will the remaining be added?
They say you can get the virus on your hands, then "touch your face" infecting yourself. They should've said if you "touch your eyes or in your nose and mouth" because, it can't leach through your face skin. You'd have to touch an orifis. Regardless this is a much watch for anyone who needs info or spews nonsense without doing research. Show your friends who think its "no big deal" or to someone who thinks wearing a mask feels like an infringement on their rights instead of feeling like they're helping everyone else.
