When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms. Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. This book has gotten a lot of 'flack' about the narrator, but I didn't think she was that bad (of course I am no exper)t.... Yes her voice was a bit young, but Anastasia is only 21, so yes she is young. The story itself was nothing less than wonderful. Definately worth the read.
Despite the bad reviews on the original narration , I bought 50 shades of Grey and LOVED Becca's narration . Her voice perfectly fit Ana's 21 yr old innocent personality . I finished 50 shades of Grey and just started 50 shades darker with her "new" narration and it is horrible ! She now sounds nothing like the character !! I feel that those who wrote the bad reviews must have only listened to a small clip and then made their opinion without getting to know Ana's character . PLEASE bring the original narration back !!! I don't even feel like this is the same character at all and it doesn't fit Ana one bit :(
Would you listen to Fifty Shades of Grey again? Why?This story will totaly take you in.I didn't really like the narrator but don't give up on her, she gets better as the story goes along.I normally listen to more fantacy romance, if thats your thing you won't be dissapointed by this.Anna is one amazing character. What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades of Grey?OH, there is not just one!The entire store can not even begin to be described in one moment.Which character – as performed by Becca Battoe – was your favorite?Anna. She takes her from the meek girl to a strong woman. The change is very noticable and makes the character. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?The ending.I cried big teers!Any additional comments?I was so cought up in this story that I didn't even sleep for 2 days!I had to know what happened.I know! That is totally rediculous.
