Honestly a really good movie, they could have made it a bit more better and making it longer as it seems it wasn't really finished. But overall I would recommend. Give it a watch and see for yourself if its good or not.
It's a cute, predictable movie about a down on her luck aspiring actress pretending that a Hollywood star actor is her boyfriend to impress her friends from high school at her best friend's wedding. The Hollywood star finds out about it and goes along with the lie since he has to cover up for a simplistic problem he's in and you already knows how the movie ends. The two leads are pretty good actors in a very simplistic plot with no stakes and manufactured drama resolved within minutes of occurring. There is no real conflict in this movie. However, the cast was good and they did the best with the small budget they were given. This movie is very generic but if you want to waste an hour and a half on a movie, it's a good movie to simply watch to waste the time.
This movie is alright. The plot is formulaic, and some of the supporting actors aren't very good. In fact the leads aren't that good either. That being said, they aren't horrible either. A little stiff perhaps, but by no means terrible. That too being said, the one great feature in this movie is the clear chemistry between the the leads, which manages to come across without being overly overt or cheesy. I'd rate this 5 stars without that chemistry. With it, 6 1/2.
The story was fine. Actors fine. Too bad all the females looked like they were being strangled by giant necklaces. Worst costuming I've ever seen for one of these made for TV romances. The huge clunky home party jewelry paired with ill fitting tacky clothes was massively distracting. Young women in their early 20s do not dress like 45 year divorcees on a cruise. I don't care about high fashion or trendy clothing at all so for me to notice how incredibly bad it was is saying something. It would have looked better if the costumer got everything at Target.
Casting was bad and could have been so much better! Great concept but bad actress Nthenya and main actress Lexi looked out of place and made you lose your focus on movie.
The only 2 people in this movie that have talent are Brant Daugherty (Chas) and Randy Wayne (Graham). They are the only ones with acting abilities! The rest of the acting is AWFUL. I really wish they would stop giving Lexi lead actress parts because her acting is terrible. I have yet to see one movie she was in that I didn't hate. I felt like I was watching a movie made my middle schoolers.
This movie could have been better. The writers really did a poor job. The lead male actor was ok. But everyone else acted so scripted it was really bad acting. The clothes that everyone had on was awful. They could have been better. The wedding dress was horrible. It looked cheap and like it was from the 80's. This movie overall just could have been better.
I think the lead male is Matthew Bomer in a few years. He will make the perfect Hallmark Male for a lifetime of sappy romantic movies. (And I mean that with all respect) Some of the acting is solidly ACTING. It makes me feel like the director must have been holding an acting class and said, "For extra credit, I want you all to come and be in my movie!". (Is that wrong?). 😁
What is this? I have never watched a Hallmark movie so poorly written. So poorly acted. So poorly directed. So poorly cast! Were they looking for the cheapest cast they could find? Even the wardrobe department sucks. The clothes and jewelry are pathetic. Fourteen minutes on and I was already cringing at every word said in the movie. The female lead is not attractive not did she have any likable characteristics. The male leaf is the only actor that has any talent. The story line is laughable. Don't waste your time or your money.
