Was surprised to see some really low star reviews, we didn't think it was bad at all. We really enjoyed this film, good family fun, had the feels of the nativity crossed with outnumbered. Yes some of the characters are a bit silly but some of them were also really funny. The story line was heartwarming and entertaining and as well as providing some laughs along the way it was also quite emotional in places. Some of the characters were just hilarious, cheesy and ridiculous but it didn't matter. It was entertaining right from the start unlike some movies that take an age to get going, Nice twist at the end.
We did not approve with "boys can wear glitter, let's make the boy a girl, etc etc etc" agenda in the movie. We are on saying that this movie is absolutely not for the traditional family. We had to constantly stop the movie and explain that these are not views our family upholds. It is so difficult to find a good wholesome movie anymore. This was definitely not it, not at all. It wasn't funny. We could not wait for it to end. We are so sick of all of Hollywood acting like even has to have an Lgbtq+ agenda flowing thru everything. Every single movie... This could have been a great movie...
This movie is by far the cringiest movie I've ever watched. Everything was extremely chaotic. The acting was not the best. The wardrobe is horrific. My eyes would've started bleeding because of it. The ending was rushed. The hoe down, cringiest and cheesiest thing ever. Like what the heck. I didn't know it was possible for a movie to be this cringy. Remember when the goat fell in hole? Well that was the worlds stupids scene. The goat fell in a 1 foot whole and literally they acted like it was so deep. They all held on to each other so one doesn't fall. Everything was exaggerated. The plot sucked. It could've been 1000 times better.
Lazy writing, very predictable and I love a predictable Christmas 'daytime' movie, but this was beyond appalling. Beano acted like some sort of demented imbecile, the head teacher was such a bitch she was not at all realistic and the big boss was so thoroughly unlikable that her business would have gone bust many years ago. Obvious city guy has to shout at locals for riding their horse on country lanes, kids have to wear swimming goggles and fairy wings because they are from such a bohemian family. Not one likeable character. Weak story, not worth battling beyond the first 30 minutes. I was so disappointed as I thought I'd found a terrific British Christmas movie. If this is the best on offer then I'd rather cr@p in my hands and clap. I was hoping to have found the next 'Nativity' but sadly disappointed.
