This movie was better than I would have expected it to be. Great soundtrack and characters and both the action and comedy deliver as well as can be expected, especially on this kind of budget. I can genuinely say I had a smile on my face the whole time.
Low budget at it's best kept me glued and love the soundtrack would love to know if it is available in any format or just an I.d.
Great storyline. Good pace. Resourceful in its own right.
Indie films like this one are what they are and not for everyone but I enjoyed it. The comedy is mostly basic and crass but I still laughed. The way some of these NYC locals hoodwinked starry eyed tourists was pretty hilarious. This flick helped pass the time of a boring night by providing me a few chuckles about how ridiculous life can be if you are young, broke and dumb while trying to survive by hustling in the Big Apple. There are several "edgier" scenes as well which I'll refrain from commenting about to avoid spoilers. That said it is always good advice to watch your 6 (and your 12 and every minute in between) when navigating in a huge metropolis. Anyway, this movie made me miss and not miss NY NY simultaneously so 6 stars.
Watched this with the girlfriend. She didn't really get it and maybe other people will feel that way too but I thought it was really creative and had a good storyline. I read that a 19 year old made this movie so I was pretty impressed and can't wait to see what he does in the future.
Unique in it's own way. Some may say it's pointless, but at the same time an arguement can be made that all movies are pointless. Slow burn but weird 6.1
This film is tons of fun. The format is great and keeps you guessing. It also has a fantastic soundtrack. It reminds me of awesome indies like "Clerks", "Jails, Hospitals & Hip-Hop" ( by the legend Danny Hoch), and "Kids"
I think the storyline in this movie was very unique. It reminded me of moves like Crash whereas everything's connected. Being a New Yorker I respect the homage that is paid to the state throughout with references and a vibe that only someone who is from or has been to New York would understand. However, very easy to watch, with twists and turns I genuinely very much enjoyed every scene.
A really clever, fun movie. It's funny and irreverent and has a unique structure that keeps you interested.
