This is a sweet film full of charm and delicious food! Both funny and romantic, with great chemistry between the leads Santino & Dania- It made me smile and want to share a great meal with my family!
Some very bad acting. Lacks chemistry. Very boring.
I just loved the movie. It is a good combination of love, food & family.
Good view but lack chemistry & lack storyline. im sorry Dania Ramirez, your acting was bad. Overall im dissapointed with this movie. Thank you
Wasn't sure what to expect, but Off the Menu is a charming and fun movie! Beautiful visuals of New Mexico, food * and great chemistry with the leads. The young girl was adorable, and the music inspiring - it you love romantic comedies then go see this film!
This could have been the great indie except the male lead was a total butthead and violated all principals of love and fair play ... just where is this small latino village in new mexico ... that;s correct, it doesn't exist ... a restaurant needs more than a secret recipe or a garden that produces jalenopena peppers ... boo.
Since reading and seeing the film "Like Water for Chocolate", this film ranks high for me in the food film genre. The character, Javiera oozes with love and passion for unadulterated food from her hands in a presentation worthy of an art masterpiece. The town of Villanueva and the community inspires one to want to visit New Mexico. The scenery is breathtaking. I enjoyed both Dania Ramirez and Maria Conchita Alonso as strong women leads. True, the film is predictable, but in a good way.
If you like Latina women and if you find it heartwarming when women are genuinely sweet and can cook then you will love this movie...and you will most definitely fall in love with the female lead. I really enjoyed this movie. If you like movies like Fool's Rush In then it's a lock that you will like On The Menu as well. It's a feel good late night flick for men and women.
