I recently stumbled upon this seriously underrated cooking show while searching for something chill to watch, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. Unlike the typical US cooking shows I'm used to, this one offers a whole different ballgame. It sets itself apart by avoiding unnecessary drama and instead delivers a fast-paced and action-packed experience that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The challenges come at you rapid-fire, and the contestants have to showcase their culinary skills and creativity in no time. It's a real thrill to watch! What truly sets this show apart, though, is the impartiality of the judges. There's no favoritism or biased opinions here. They judge solely based on the contestants' culinary abilities, which adds a level of authenticity often missing in other cooking competitions. This hidden gem of a cooking show offers a unique and refreshing experience, with its upbeat vibe, fair judging, and fast-paced format. If you're tired of the same old drama and craving something that celebrates talent and keeps you on your toes, you definitely need to give this show a chance. It's time for this hidden gem to get the recognition it truly deserves in the world of cooking shows.
I was quite hyped when I saw there was a new season of Sugar Rush on my feed, just to be flooded by The Cringe as soon as it started. And i mean Cringe with capital C because this ain't no regular cringe. You expect Hunter March but stumble with this guy who has the dynamism and cheerfulness of a rock in the middle of a sand desert. The rest of the jury have about the same level of spark. It seems to follow the same format, but soon you realize it will take you the whole series to find the winner. Participants lack charisma and some of their dialogues sound scripted, or it will if you are fluent and used to Spanish. The visual quality is the expected one for a Netflix show but other than that it is closer to one of those Televisa or TV Azteca morning reality shows nobody watches since the 90's. Half the way through the first episode it already feels like a bad parody of Sugar Rush.
