l loved this movie... it was breathtaking

Starts out slow but it really is a nice, pleasant romantic comedy. It is not a great movie by any means but its easy to watch and you feel good buy the end. James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 2/27/2021
Blah blah blah and more blah blah blah. You only hold on to past relationships if you have difficulty making new ones. If you make good relationships they don't end anyway. This movie is about wallowing in the past and preparing for an inevitable breakup that you expect to happen. It's childish nonsense and complete snore of a film.
You can find all the clichés of a rom-com with relatable characters. A few different details, highly optimistic. What I like the most is that the filmmakers successfully avoided identity politics. So, there is no silly jokes about different cultures, etc. Every day people melting in the pot of New York with one thing in common.
Well, I have to disagree with most of the bad comments about the movie. I would say it is not something I would watch again but I did laugh and not feel bored while watching. I know the chemistry between the leading cast was shaky but Geraldine is very funny all by herself. So, I would give the film 1/2 from myself. The premise of the story talks about people keeping things from past relations and how they binds them down from moving on. This is true for so many people and it deserves a 1/2 for story. 1/1 for plot setting. The cast is a crazy bunch of people and I have been seeing the same type of group formation in most movies today. Individually the main leads did do well so 1/2 for the cast. The problem in the movies is the direction method and use of cliche scenes. However, the cinematography was did not make it boring so 1/2.
I'll keep it short. This movie was great. It was funny, simple, and no where near political. Covid crushed the buzz for this movie but I was amazed at how many times I laughed while watching. The world sucks right now and this movie reminded me there's still some good in it.

Pretty good romantic comedy that follows the classic beats of the genre. The humour definitely elevates the film. Fans of the genre will like this.
