This is the third and final installment of the Italian romantic comedy Out of My League involving Marta, orphan with cystic fibrosis, Frederica, lesbian card counter roped into a computer security job, and Jacopo who is desperately seeking a serious partner. Marta and Gabriele decide to move in with one another when Frederica accidentally lets it slip that Marta's grandmother is still alive. Lung transplant, serious infections, a difficult grandmother and new roommates then there is a whole substory about cyber bullying with the character Rebecca, who has remained friends with Marta. This is a satisfying conclusion for those romantic at heart. I highly recommend this film to those who have watched the previous two films, but I did find this to be the weakest of the three films.
Finally the conclusion ... we've been waiting for - or did we? I have to admit, I liked the first movie, even though it seemed to think it was a bit smarter than it was - for its own good. That being said, there is always something to discover. And while it may have been better to have done all the story in one movie - and not gone full drama (sort of) with the last one ... well it is what it is. Still a nice conclusion - and a movie that those who have seen the other two want to add to their collection ... of have seen movies. Just so they are through with them. Good overall performances. Decent story - with some cliches, that cannot be avoided when you are dealing with an illness like that.
