Frodo Potter makes the quest to become the white Blade of werewolves. Twists and turn and pretty cool FX. In the end he becomes canonized in a pretty brutal way. Sir Thorfinn! Our savior.
One of those movies that are so bad you have to watch all of it to see if it gets any better.. It did not. Some of the actors and production was okay but the rest, not so much. The werewolf costumes are just awful. I could buy a better one at a discount Halloween store. When bitten by a wolf one would usually have bite marks, just saying. There is a twist at the end but you realize once it happens that the title of the movie gives it away.. I like some B movies but this one I would not recommend.
Giving it a Nine to pump up it's rating a tad in response to the naysayers. I enjoyed it, put it in the category of its so bad it's good. I enjoyed the characters, I'll sit through pretty much anything if I'm invested in them. Some will not like the gore, caution, title is Werewolf Castle. It's somewhat reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus. That's pretty much all I need to say about this flick though I have another 175 characters to type so just let me leave everyone with this observation, don't leave a 1or 10 rating. These are given mainly by bots. These bots can be human though the majority are automated, similar to the crank calls you receive daily by both phone and text. Please don't be Fooled, always delve deeper and be aware! Thanks.
Sure, I can't claim that I was harboring much of any high hopes or expectations to this 2021 fantasy horror movie from writer and director Charlie Steeds titled "Werewolf Castle". Why? Well, first of all I hadn't even heard about the movie prior to sitting down in 2022 to watch it. Secondly then the majority of werewolf-based movies out there tend to be dubious movies. And also the fact that it was all unfamiliar names on the cast list wasn't really all that enticing either. But still, I opted to watch "Werewolf Castle" on the notion of it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, and also on the off chance that the movie might actually be one of those rare instances where it is actually a great werewolf movie. Yeah, I hate to say it but "Werewolf Castle" wasn't exactly a particularly thrilling or great movie. Sure, it was watchable for what it was - with that being a rather generic and mediocre werewolf movie. "Werewolf Castle" is the type of movie you watch once, then put it into the pile of shame and never return to it ever again. Visually then "Werewolf Castle" was a mixed bag of nuts. The idea of the werewolves were good, but it was just so obviously people wearing furred suits and masks. Especially the masks were bad. Well, they looked good actually, but bad in the sense that there was zero articulation on them, so the werewolves wore the same open maw expression all the time. The acting performances in the movie were so-so. I mean, the actors put on adequate enough performances, but you shouldn't go expecting a grand thespian experience here, if so you will be sorely disappointed. "Werewolf Castle" lands a very mediocre five out of ten stars from me.
The village of Grittleton Marsh has been devastated by a pack of werewolves. Three Knights are called to go to the King's Castle and inform him of the news so he can do battle against them. Thorfinn (Peter Lofsgard) one of the village survivors agrees to go with them as a guide. The plot had potential. The acting and costume did not. They could have done more with the haunted forest. Guide: F-word. Brief sex and butt nudity.
DO NOT waste your time watching this. The "heroes" are scumbags, and the ACTUAL hero is wasted. And, a complete fabrication of the hero lie. This "movie" could've been so great. But, it starts with our "hero" hiding while his village gets sacked by werewolves. Incredibly, he finds its backbone to show the worthless band of "knights" where the werewolves live. Disgusting movie-making.
