Good 😊😊
hi
source: Bloody Summer Camp
For the most part, I loved Bloody Summer Camp! To be honest, if it weren't for Felissa Rose, I probably wouldn't have known it existed. This movie is for fans of a niche horror sub-genre, so your casual horror fans may not like it. They may even hate it; but who cares? F$@# them! Bloody summer camp is for die hard slasher fans.....the same one's who love Return to Sleepaway Camp. If you didn't like Return to Sleepaway camp, you may still like Bloody Summer Camp, because it is a much better film! Bloody Summer Camp is about 45 minutes longer than any movie I'd ever want to watch but I did it and I'll do it again.
A simple killer at a camp movie that is fun and entertaining. Dave Sheridan is a bumbling and funny sheriff with some of the best lines in the movie. Definitely worth a look even for the great cast.
At first this would seem just like a Friday the 13th rip-off/homage, and although there's no denying it does heavily inspire this script, it's not quite what you expect, as it does have a decent little twist in the end. Seems low budget, but not that bad low budget stuff, everyone behind the scenes has done a great job and most of the cast acted well enough. A couple of really bad wigs is about the only off thing, making it look like a parody along the lines of Wet Hot American Summer, but it's not. It doesn't really have any star power in the main cast, but a small amount from those who might be familuer with Fellissa Rose of Sleepaway Camp (1983) and Dave Sheridan of Scary Movie (2000) will recognise a couple of actors. What I particularly found refreshing was not going for skinny twigs and supermodel actresses to cast. It's been nice to watch realistic plumper girls rather than the style Hollyweed would have cast in these roles. It makes it much more beautiful to watch. There is some half decent gore effects, and a few cheap cutaways, but nothing all that memorable that will be considered classic, but a decent job none the less, apart from sometimes blood looked more like strawberry syrup. Overall, a decent watch for Friday the 13th and slasher fans if it interests you?
We like horror, slasher movies and we enjoyed this. It's not a big Hollywood production, but was well crafted with what I would guess a tight budget. We noticed a reference here and there to films of the past of this genre. It made for a fun evening for us. I can see a loyal fan base in the future for this group.
Loved it All! Great cast- loved a few in particular! Felissa and Dave were great. Roger was classic. My fav character. This film gives you everything you'd want from a horror film- a camp slasher. Just enough comedy makes it even more fun! The deaths are awesome and loved the premise! Everything i hoped for and it fits right in with the burning- Friday the 13th- and sleepaway camp!! Thank you slasher 15 productions!
It is a fun Mashup of 80s slasher loveletter and goofy satire of the genre. It wears its worship of the golden age of slashers on its sleeve while not being afraid to poke fun at the trappings of the genre. True horror geeks, like myself, will love the tons of slasher movie Easter eggs. Everyone involved seems like they had a blast. It doesn't take itself seriously and neither should you. Grab some beers and strap yourself in.
Are you kidding me? Bad acting and inconsistencies? LOL. This is a B comedy/horror. You are expecting oscar performances and award winning storyline? This is pretty good for what's it is. Some funny scenes and very surprising good gore.
